December 2008
So I just finished my way too fancy homemade Christmas cards and realized that I did not want to spoil them by writing on them or even by adding a bragging letter that no one really reads anyway. Do they??? What I did include was an adorable picture of three really cute kiddos and a note that referred everyone I know to my BLOG. I am such a cheater.
Needless to say because I have a BLOG I brag (and complain) daily about what goes on around here but for those of you who are just visiting for the the first time let me catch you up.
Dalton started Kindergarten this year. He LOVES it!! I am not surprised really but I am grateful that he has a fantastic teacher who adores him and thinks he can do no wrong. He is starting out young with the whole charm thing (good for ya! dude). He played t-ball this year which I coached (seriously what was I thinking?) I spent most of the season trying to convince him there is NO CRYING IN BASEBALL! (gotta love the movie reference there!)
Peyton started preschool and LOVES it but she is the quietest and one of the shyest in the class. I find that really hard to believe! She is also doing Dance by Dee again this year which she loves (see two posts ago!) She keeps me on my toes with questions about life, decorating and just everything in general including why she can't be a mom when she is 14? Oh please help me now!
Kayton not to be outdone wants to be in school but I can't find anywhere that will take an 18 month old hehe. She colors, plays, dances, sings exactly like the other two. She makes me smile and want to pull my hair out all at the same time.
IF you are still reading Jeff and I are doing almost exactly the same things this year as last. Jeff is working overtime getting ready for the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans on January 2. We have been very blessed this year when it comes to his job! Thanks to the Utes for keeping us here we love it.
I am still working two jobs trying to figure out why I just can't seem to let one go. I was able to travel to Baltimore for my research job last month. It was so much fun and I am still working at IMC on the Thoracic ICU. Not very often but enough to still remember what patient care is like.
Although the economy is crappy and there are many trials around us we feel blessed and loved by all that we know. May you all have the spirit of Christmas in your hearts throughout the season and the new year.
Love the RUDY's
